Add your app to the Home Screen

Open the app’s link

The owner receives a link once publication in Aqteron succeeds. If you created the app, open it from your dashboard. If someone shared it with you, use the address they sent.

For example, to add your packing list, open that list’s own link, then follow the steps for your device.

iPhone and iPad

1. Use Safari to open the app’s link.
2. Find the Share action. On iPhone it may be under More. On iPad, additional actions may appear under More after you select Share.
3. Choose Add to Home Screen.
4. If the Open as Web App option is available, enable it.
5. Confirm the addition. The icon will appear on this device.

Action names and locations vary by system version. If the option is missing from Safari’s action list on iPhone, check Edit Actions.

Android

1. Use Chrome to open the app’s link.
2. Find the three-dot menu next to the address bar.
3. Choose Install and create shortcut → Install. Other browser versions may show Install app or Add to Home Screen.
4. Complete the steps your browser presents.

If installation does not work

1. No installation option? Make sure the link is open in Safari or Chrome, rather than only inside a messaging app. Installation support depends on the browser and device. You can continue using the link in your browser.
2. The app itself will not open? The owner can check its publication status in the dashboard. If it belongs to someone else, ask them to check the link.

What installation changes

You get a convenient way to open the web app. Adding it to the Home Screen does not put it in the App Store or Google Play. Offline use and notifications depend on the particular app, available features and device permissions.
